When the moisture and humidity increase during the spring and summer months in Atlanta, the felt parts in the piano action swell causing the piano key parts to sometimes rub against each other.  Drying the air out in the piano often solves this problem.  If the sticking piano keys persist, our piano tuner technician can diagnose the problem at the time of your piano tuning by removing the keys and / or the piano action.  Normally this repair will take about 10 minutes for the piano tuner to fix (without having to order parts from a piano parts supplier).  If piano action parts are broken (e.g. piano hammer shanks) the piano tuner technician may have the part on hand to  make the repair immediately at the time of piano tuning.
